No matter where you are located in the UK, we can tailor make the perfect Zoo and Wildlife Tour to suit your group’s needs and educational requirements.

You’ll be able to learn about a magnitude of techniques relating to wildlife care, nutrition, enclosure design and conservation from the fantastic education departments at various zoos and wildlife parks that we have in the UK.


All of our Zoo Tours are tailor-made depending on location, duration and the group’s education focus. Below are some example activities and education modules that can be included as part of your tour.

Day 1

Twycross Zoo – Set in more than 80 acres, we have around 500 animals of almost 100 species to see, including many endangered animals and also native species in the Zoo’s Nature Reserve. Twycross Zoo is now renowned as a World Primate Centre and has a wide variety of monkeys and apes including the UK’s only group of bonobos.

Day 2

Early morning departure from YHA Milton Keynes (Breakfast Included)
Coach Transfer to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Visit, including educational programme
Coach Transfer to Premier Inn Colchester
Overnight Premier Inn Colchester (Dinner Included)

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is the UK's largest zoo and one of Europe's largest wildlife conservation parks, covering over 600 acres. It is home to approximately 3,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. The Zoo is part of the Zoological Society London which was founded in 1826 with the aim of promoting worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.

Day 3

Colchester Zoo Visit, including educational programme

Overnight Premier Inn Lowestoft (Dinner Included)

Colchester Zoo is home to 220 species set in 60 acres of parkland, lakes and many different natural habitats that the animals call home. You’ll roam through areas such as, the humid home of their Komodo Dragons and an African type plain called Kingdom of the Wild, where white rhino, giraffes, ostrich, zebra and kudu can be spotted.

Africa Alive! Visit, including educational programme
Coach Transfer to College

Africa Alive! - is set in 100 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside and also offers the chance to spot a wide range of British wildlife. The spectacular centrepiece of this beautiful park is the ’Plains of Africa’, the perfect place to spot five species of African savannah animals, including graceful giraffe and heavyweight rhinos.

We use several accommodation providers for our UK Zoo Tours depending on group size and budget. We offer a range of accommodation types: YHA hostels, private or shared dormitories and twin rooms at basic hotel accommodation.


Breakfast and dinner will be provided on each day at your accommodation. Lunch will be for students own account on days visiting zoos or wildlife parks. Please let us know of any dietary requirements in advance, so we can ensure you are adequately catered for.
