Explore the outstanding Wildlife Parks and Zoos that Scotland has to offer on this five-day, action packed, tour.

The tour is focused on three main locations across Scotland including;  the Highland Wildlife Park in Cairngorms National Park, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Edinburgh Zoo.

Explore the incredible activities you will embark upon on our fantastic Scotland Parks and Zoo Tour.

ITINERARY

Discover the fantastic experiences we have prepared across the course of your trip, from informative lectures and hands on wildlife work, to an unforgettable visit to the historic city of Edinburgh.

Day 1

Arrive to Inverness Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your coach driver for a private transfer to Inverness Youth Hostel. Enjoy dinner (included for group sizes of 20 or more people), evening at leisure.

Day 2

Private coach to Highland Wildlife Park, approximately 1 hour. Blend of lectures and educational experiences during the day. Private coach to the Stirling Youth Hostel ideally placed in the centre of Stirling, dinner in Stirling (not included) and time at leisure.

Day 3

Private coach to the Blair Drummond Safari Park where you’ll drive through the park to experience a safari with Lions, Rhino, Elephant and more. A presentation and lecture will be given on your chosen subject by the academic staff; you’ll see what is required to care for the animals and how it impacts the functioning of the park. Return coach journey to Stirling Youth Hostel, dinner (not included), evening at leisure in Stirling.

Day 4

Check out of accommodation and transfer by coach to Edinburgh, approximately 1.5 hours. Your accommodation is centrally placed at the Edinburgh Youth Hostel; drop your bags and then spend the day exploring Scotland’s capital and the UNESCO world heritage sites of Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns. Evening dinner at the hostel (included for group sizes of 20 or more people).

Day 5

Check out of accommodation, a 5 minute walk to the bus stop to catch public transport (Bus No.26) from Leopold Place to Edinburgh Zoo, approximately 20 minute journey, buses operate every 12 minutes. Academic sessions will be provided with RZSS education officers on your chosen subject (e.g. Zoo Animal Care and Behaviour). Leave the zoo and head straight for Edinburgh Airport by public transport (bus Airlink 100), journey time 20 minutes, for your return flight.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Accommodation

All stays are in hostel accommodation, perfectly situated in their respective city centres, so you can explore and enjoy that deserved leisure time.

All rooms are private rooms for your group, based on 4-6 people sharing. Except group leaders who will have individual rooms.

Bathrooms are shared. All rooms are lockable

Food

Continental breakfasts are provided as a minimum each day, cooked breakfasts can be provided on request (additional charge).

Lunches can be purchased at each of the sites eateries or alternatively basic packed lunches can be arranged on request (approx. £6 per day per person).

Cooked dinners are provided for group sizes of 20 or more, where stated on the itinerary.
