We are looking for 10 wonderful, kind, caring and fun individuals to help with the annual Wild Connection’s ‘Women and Girls Empowerment Camp.

50+ local Zulu women and girls are invited to the Wild Connection rural bush camp for the weekend to experience the African bush from a different perspective and to be empowered by field staff and local business women. Many rural women and girls experience limited education, poor healthcare and extreme poverty which sadly often comes with gender based violence and crime. 

This camp was established to give local women and girls the opportunity to experience life in the bush from a ‘tourist’ perspective where they get to see wild animals on the reserve, have some self-care and enjoy things they would never normally be able to. 

The camp is fully funded by Wild Connection and local sponsors, so we would like to send some community-spirited folk to help with the weekend with bags of donations on board. We will be based at the camp and will be able to experience some elements of the programme we offer (KwaZulu-Natal Conservation & Research Programme’) either side of the camp and the preparation and clean up days. It will be great and most definitely immersive into the Zulu culture.

You are guaranteed a weekend full of life, laughter and the constant sound of Zulu signing and dancing!

We have priced the trip at a discounted rate as we will be working hard and it is £1,985, flying 17th Aug from London Heathrow (TBC) and arriving back the 31st Aug 25. The price includes flights, internal transfers, camp accommodation, food and lots of fun!
